Five Tub Colourful Modelling Dough Set

Set out five tubs of colourful dough for a hands-on modelling activity at home or in the classroom. The soft dough can be rolled, pressed and shaped, giving children a way to build simple objects with their hands and change the idea as they work.

Benefits

• Choose a colour: Assorted bright colours give the models different parts and details. Children can choose a colour for the main shape and another for smaller additions such as eyes, petals or the roof of a pretend house.
• Make different shapes: Roll the dough into balls or longer pieces, then press and join them. The same dough can become an animal, a simple letter or a make-believe object without a fixed finished design.
• Rework an idea: Soft modelling dough can be reshaped during the activity. A figure can be pressed down and started again, letting the child try a different form with the same material.
• Gather after play: Each colour comes in its own tub for storage between sessions. Return the dough to the containers and close them after the activity so the separate colours stay gathered for the next modelling session.
